How this test was built
7iq is a 30-question short-form IQ test grounded in established psychometric principles. It's a self-check tool, not a diagnostic instrument.
Methodology
Your correct-answer rate maps onto a normal distribution with mean 100 and standard deviation 15 — the same baseline model used by clinical IQ instruments. Results here are estimates, not medical assessments.
Four reasoning domains
Verbal reasoning
Word relationships, analogies, and vocabulary-based problem solving. Shows up directly in daily communication and reading comprehension.
Numerical reasoning
Rapid recognition of numeric patterns — sequences, ratios, unit conversion. Core to data interpretation and financial judgment.
Spatial reasoning
Mental manipulation of visual information — rotation, nets, symmetry. Strongly correlated with design, architecture, and surgical fields.
Logical reasoning
Drawing valid conclusions from premises and detecting contradictions. Foundation for programming, law, and strategy work.
Limits and disclaimers
Your estimated IQ can vary by ±5–10 depending on rest, time of day, and focus. This is not a substitute for a clinical assessment (e.g. WAIS-IV).
